That is seriously lame... Why would anyone do such a thing
If you have a recent backup, you can recover the threads. I know I'm not alone in saying that I would very much like to see them restored: recovery instructions

What a pathetic situation.
In an effort to resurrect these very valuable community threads, I dug around on the internet wayback machine only to find they are not archived individually.
So unfortunately, no dice, it's up to the admins to sort out or the thread owner to come to his senses.
Looks like the Catalog of Factory and After-market Steering Wheels thread is gone, now, too --- so . . .
. . . you might wanna visit/copy/etc some of these other threads before those get zapped, too . . .

Maybe we can try to re-build some of this stuff
Hi Raj,
We share the same passion, and this Forum helps us understand better our 911 passion by sharing it with others. Some of us are collectors, drivers or racers, some have S models and some 912 (!). We come from all over the world, and through all the members of this forum we can provide the best Porsche information available.
Nobody and nothing is perfect, but overall this forum is still the next best thing after sitting behind the wheel of a 911. So please help here and agree to publish your thread again.
Best,
Thomas
Nicely put. +1
It's nice that you reach out to him, but I think this should be beyond his control at this point. If it were my responsibility to protect the information we all contribute to and openly share, I'd make immediate steps to a). not allow any more thread deletion by removing his access (at least until he cools down), and b). find a recent backup of the database and start the process of recovering the deleted threads. And FYI, if he has done a cold delete (actually deleted them, not simply unpubilshed them), then they cannot be restored by him, even if he wanted to.... they can only be recovered by manually extracting them from a backup. If you do not have a backup, then, sadly, they may be lost forever.
...such a childish thing to do, sheesh.

That's a good one, Rick.
I was able to archive the aftermarket fog light thread on the wayback machine. Unfortunately, the pics don't come along with it. Same will happen with all of the ones you listed.

Here's a thread he started on the "Unselfish Peter Kane"... oh, the irony

Interesting that what has previously been closely held knowledge about the guy is now there for all to see.
Chuck,
I couldn't agree more.
I give Raj his due for starting several very informative threads, but many other forum participants and club members have contributed heavily to them also. Raj has left before and in choosing to leave again he should not be allowed to remove these entire threads. No way! I trust you will have them restored so we all can continue to reference and add to them in the future. Thanks much.
