    More Allred . . .

    . . . from the '70 thru '72 PDLs . . .

    Allred Porsche Audi
    1801 So Brand Blvd
    Glendale, CA 91204

    Dull blue lettering in dull white letter-boxes, flash-chromed, classic RWB &Co --- No 11, this time . . . the so-called 'fat panel.' Yeah-yeah --- frame's a bit of a disaster, cosmetically --- dirty + paint-dripped-on . . . but look past the mess + notice all the little details that make RWBs so distinctive . . . cross-hatching, pebbling, texturing --- + big/bold font . . . oh-so-delicately outlined, even

    Others previously seen/described, here --- starting @post #239 . . .

    Rally's --- a burger-joint . . . 's there now

    Sales: 500 Lexington Ave
    Service: 547 West 47th St

Dull white lettering on dull black everything. No Makers' marks/ID. Plate = std NY pass iss, etc . . .

    Another version previously seen, here --- see post #340 . . .

Yep, a repop done very poorly! And they have the stupidly to try and sell it anyway.

    Hmmm . . .

Supposed to be a 'front' vs a 'back' frame, maybe? Back in the '60s, many frames came in pairs; this just may be the front half?

Given the fame/notoriety of VP, pretty much anything goes. I mean --- this outfit was in business for over 4-decades . . . w/ all-kinds of repros since, so . . . . who-knows how many of these things are floating around out there somewhere . . . over the rainbow

    But I think that there's a bigger issue . . .

From all the PDLs that I've seen, VP never had a Porsche store in Redondo --- see post #180 . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-Frames/page18

    Manhattan or Hermosa, only

    Another post --- see #369 . . .

    Still . . . nice details + patina --- + good-looking, IMO. Just watch the pricing, is all . . .

    Douglas . . .

    From the '72 PDL . . .

    Douglas Volkswagen Ltd
    3329 Douglas Street
    Victoria, BC

Matte white lettering in bright metallic blue letter-boxes, flash-chromed, no Makers' mark/ID. Plate = std pass iss

Not the fanciest/best-executed bit --- frame looks down-right raggedy . . . but the metallic paint really pops. And anything Canadian is just plain hard-to-find, anyway. I mean --- think about it . . .

Douglas only had their Porsche concession that one year, but . . .

    . . . they're still there . . . and selling Volkswagen
