    Porsche Museum Visit

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend an afternoon visiting the Porsche Museum while traveling through Germany earlier this week. It's absolutely fantastic and should be on your list of Porsche things to do. On the ground floor there is a garage/work area and it looks like they were staging a handful of racing cars that I imagine are headed to Rennsport Reunion next week. A few of my other favorites as well:

Great shots Nick! It's a far cry from the museum I visited back in 1990 :-)
Hope you'll be in Monterrey next week.

We were there as well last week. The exploded view of the 917 engine was at the top of my list. Gordon

I took so many pictures of that display I was thanking heaven for the invention of digital cameras. The film cost alone would have bankrupted me otherwise.

I also enjoyed the 914/8 and the 936.

Will be headed there mid Oct.
Were you able to tie the museum to a factory tour or is that just if you are taking delivery? I have tried contacting them thru their website but no one has responded to my request and or inquiries.
Thanks for any information or advice.

Imo dont forget to also visit the nearby Mercedes-Benz museum. Its stunning and many agree, its architecture better than the one for Porsche.

    Nic,
    Thanks so much!
We want to take in the Benz factory as well, the Boss Lady drives a GL450 and loves her tank!
As most are aware this site is just incredible! Folks are always willing to share not only car stuff but offer so many other things to complete strangers!
We plan on starting in Geneva and so I pm,d Milou/Thomas who is from the area and he replied several times with helpful information on hotels, restaraunts, train travel, etc.
Just felt like saying THANKS and to express my gratitude! At the end of the day you are all welcome at my place if you ever make your way thru our fly over state of Nebraska! You will find us here much like so many on this board!
