Aren't the mirrors (x2) incorrect? My 72 (built 10/71) looks very similar with similar factory spec but has only the drivers side mirror which is the rectangular flag style.

The mirror is correct if the car was specified to have mirrors on both sides. However, the right mirror is mounted in a completely useless spot for a LHD car. Wipers are in RHD position, too. And what's with those driving lights?

Hyperbolic description as "preservation grade" is BS.

Having said that and IF everything is original to the car as described ( paint, seats, carpets, engine, etc) but the fog lights and the right rear mirror this is still an outstanding example of a well preserved car. There are not so many 45 years old 911s that have not been modified, restored or simply resprayed.

Those cars were meant to be driven and I totally understand that the previous and only owner could have added non period correct fog lights and a rear side mirror at some point in the life of the car.

Not saying it doesn't present well; just saying I've seen a lot of preserved 911s and owned a handful, and this is just a a nice used 911 with a lot of documents. Also, it appears the right front fender was repainted... which wasn't mentioned in the ad.

Re the right fender they mention that the right door has been repainted. That might explain why there is a color difference with the fender. Do you see anything else that tell you the right front fender has been repainted?

Sold new in the USA, this Karmann-built 911 was imported into Europe by the current owner in 2014 and has now European-specification lighting and odometer. The car has recently been extensively refurbished, benefiting from an overhauled gearbox, new clutch, new ignition system, engine and carburettors servicing, and restored chassis and bodywork. Photographs of the bodywork restoration are on file together with invoices from GGA of Carrières sur Seine (€5,200), AMS near Paris (€2700) and upholsterer Renard Saddlery in Gennevilliers (€2,000). Finished in Royal Albert blue with black leatherette interior, this recently restored 911 is offered with aforementioned invoices, and French carte grise (for classic car).
