"Is my 900XXX case worth anything?"

Hi, I recently acquired a 1974 Porsche 911 Targa 2.7 . I was told that the magnesium engine case was replaced with an aluminum case using the 2.7 upper parts. Upon inspection I was informed the the case is from a 1965 911 with the numbers 900xxx. Just curious to know if the motor has any value. This conversion was done over 25 years ago by original owner. engine runs brilliant
