Purists please ignore this item. Several years ago my '69 Karmann coupe required a small touch-up to the front bumper. Testor's Spray Enamel #1628 Gloss Orange or Competition Orange was (and remains today) indistinguishable from the 68-6809-H paint as applied to my car. For a myriad of reasons your results may vary, but it is something to keep in mind.
Here's "Orangello". Featured in the Spring 2018 issue of Esses.

Here is my 72 Tangerine SR cpe. Customer cars always interfere with my plans but. When I bought the car the glove box was full of original documents that the prior owner had never seen, including the window sticker and build sheet. It had every S option. Except the engine/cooler and it was a T, no AC. Unfortunately over the years prior to me owning the car, it had a couple of upsets and all the options were lost or sold, engine/transmission sold but still a very solid car. We benched the car for some minor variations, have repaired the upsets and attempting to secure "original" optioned parts although some will be eliminated for a more sanitary look. Yeah, it wasn't supposed to be body color underneath but that is my preference. The remaining orange paint to be removed is original. Long way to go. (door not latched....)
