    correct color for 1969 S front struts?

    i have koni front struts for my 1969 911.
    The came off a S model.

    What is the correct color for 1969? Black or red?

    Maybe some were black , but all the original '69's I've seen are red .

    i have installed correct Konis in my 1969T.
    i painted them the same color i used for the heater boxes.
    thoughts?

    I believe these could be original Konis for this (not mine) low mile (18k), unrestored, 69S. I believe the pinch bolt at base is significant.
    Caveat: I am not a Koni/suspension guy, just sharing what I see on lightly touched cars.

    This is 69 912 that I installed inserts in this summer. Cleaned up pretty good.
