List of 1969 911 Sport Purpose, M-Liste, and sport gearboxes

There seem to be fewer competition cars from MY 1969 than from 1967 or 1968. The Kardex for known competition cars do not reference the rally kit or the sport kit as in prior years. There are a few cars with M-Liste noted on their Kardex and a few with higher output motors noted as “Motor auf hochleistung….’

The transmission table posted by Beh indicates that there were 68 special gearboxes for 1969. A half-dozen or so of these gear boxes have been identified on Kardex or mentioned in ESR.

    11 standard special option boxes - 7390001-7390002 & 7390101-7390109
    2 hill climb boxes - 7391001 & 7391101
    27 airport boxes - 7392002-7392010 & 7392101-7392118
    9 fast circuit boxes - 7393001-7393003 & 7393101-7393106
    17 Nuerburgring boxes - 7394001-739008 & 7394101-7394109
    2 boxes with ratios to order - 7399001 & 7399101

The tables below list the known 1969 sport purpose cars that were used by Porsche werks, had M-Liste noted on their Kardex or had special gearboxes. References to threads for 1969 Sport Purpose cars where this information was obtained are listed below. Please add to this list if you know of others.

A link to the FIA form 608 for the 1969 911S has been added to the first page under references. Part numbers and pictures are provided for the plastic fuel tank, the sports exhaust and other competition parts. It appears that titanium connecting rods were requested, but not allowed by the FIA. Foto 3 is interesting. It appears to show the rear of a car with license plate S-K 2404 that is either a 911R or has the one piece 911R bumper guard and license plate assembly.
