Its always interesting to me that these machines, all with the same basic shape are able to develop such unique individual characters.
Some more than others.
Can't tell exactly why, nothing really special about its bits - but that yellow bastard has "it" in spades.

Thank you, John. It’s been too long since we crossed paths. We need to remedy that!

Hi Folks, just joined. Wanted to introduce myself. Located in Illinois. Used the Registry to answer build questions about my ‘69 911S. Have attached a photo for perusal. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you, Chuck! Have a nice Porsche “stable” near my home. They are ‘69 911S, ‘70 914/6, ‘09 997 C2 Cab, ‘12 997 Turbo S Cab 918 Special Edition Spyder, and a ‘14 Cayenne Turbo S. Spent most of last evening visiting forums. Think I’m in Nirvana.
Well, hope this isn’t too verbose. I’m the second owner of a ‘69 911S in Signal Yellow, Full Black Leather Interior, Houndstooth Inserts, and period correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt Stereo. Car originally purchased by 2 Law Professors in Milwaukee, WI. They bought it new, maintained locally the relocated to So. CA in the ‘70’s to tenured Law Professor positions at USC and UCLA. The car was put away in the early 2000’s awaiting restoration work. Car was commissioned to CPR in Fallbrook in ‘14 when it became apparent they could not perform the work project. I bought the car in ‘14 and got CPR to begin a long nut & bolt restoration. While the body, coach, and early mechanical work was being performed, I had the numbers matching engine blueprinted to different specs. It was bored-out to 2.45 displacement with all new pistons, hotter cams and slightly modified first gen fuel injection. The 901 gearbox was thoroughly rebuilt with all new synchro gears. Clutch updated to later updated design to handle increased horsepower. It is believed to be near 210bhp. Updated brakes and wider Fuch wheels finish off the project. Wanted to make the changes subtle enough so as not disclose the updates. Car has 88K+ miles on the speedo and is finalizing road testing and tuning. Attached a few pics to ponder about.
